I was really looking forward to visiting, but the experience fell short of expectations.
Upon arrival, the queuing system was quite unclear. Staff were loudly asking if anyone had a ticket, but there was no real direction or structure for how to order, which created a confusing atmosphere. We ordered two hot chocolates and a three-scoop ice cream. The menus were a bit overwhelming, with too much unrelated information, making it difficult to navigate.
I expected the hot chocolate to come with whipped cream, but apparently, that’s an extra charge—not clearly indicated. I hot chocolate was weak and unremarkable in flavor.
When I asked whether the hazelnut ice cream contained peanuts (just to be cautious), I was told that all ice creams are made in the same bowls and that those bowls aren’t washed between flavors. In this day and age, where food allergies are a serious concern, that’s extremely worrying. I didn’t feel safe taking the risk, so I asked for a refund.
It’s important that staff proactively ask about allergies at the start of each order and that better hygiene protocols are in place to prevent cross-contamination. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it could make a big difference to the safety and overall experience of future customers.
